YMCA full privilege membership means that when you join one YMCA in The Philadelphia and Vicinity Association - you join them all! If you live in one area and work in another, then this is the membership for you and your family! With a full membership you become a member of family of 11 YMCA locations of the YMCA of Philadelphia and Vicinity and have access to all of their facilities. You'll discover the convenience of being able to work out or attend classes at any of the locations. There's no additional fee per visit. The YMCA locations included are:Abington, Ambler (including the Fort Washington Wellness Center), Hatboro, Christian Street, Columbia North, Main Line, Northeast, Rocky Run, Roxborough, and West Philadelphia.
As always, when traveling you become a member of the nationwide AWAY program (Always Welcome at YMCAs) and can take advantage of hundreds of YMCA facilities and programs as if you were a member at each one.

*Bank Draft is a monthly membership fee automatically deducted from your personal checking account. Thirty days written notice discontinues the membership. There are no service charges. To participate in the Bank Draft, you must bring a check with you when joining.
Program Memberships
An annual Youth Program Membership allows youth ages 6 weeks to 17 years to take a class or participate in a program by simply paying the session by session fee. Youth Program Membership must be current when registering for a class or program.Youth (6weeks to 17 years) $50 per year
Guest Fees
The YMCA provides free guest passes as a benefit to members and to encourage prospective members to join. YMCA full privilege members may have as many guest passes as they request. However, each individual guest is limited to 3 visits per year to the YMCA of Philadelphia and Vicinity. Each full privilege adult member may bring a maximum of 3 guests per visit. The YMCA recognizes that a best practice is to have a member accompany a guest, but does not require it. *Program members are entitled to participate in only the program for which they have registered. If they want full use of the facility they will be treated as a guest.
Non YMCA members must enter as a guest with a member, present a guest pass (or take a tour and receive a pass), or pay the guest fee to access the facility. Each guest must present valid photo identification upon entry. Guests under 18 must have a supervising adult in the facility during their visit. Guests must be over 18 to enter alone.
YMCA members under age 18 cannot be responsible for guests under age 18. An adult must accompany all underage guests into the facility and remain in the facility for the duration of their visit.
Guest prices:
$10 for guests age 18 and over (Restrictions apply.)
$5 for guests age 17 and under.(Restrictions apply.)
A.W.A.Y.
Local A.W.A.Y. visitors are members from YMCA’s within a 50-mile radius and will be charged ½ the guest fee for their visit. Local A.W.A.Y. members may attend 3 times per month.
A.W.A.Y. Visitors who hold memberships from YMCA’s outside of a
50-mile radius will be permitted 3 complimentary visits per month. After 3 visits, ½ of the guest fee will be charged for each visit. Y members who are planning to visit another YMCA should call that YMCA for policies.
Local A.W.A.Y. Visitors and YMCA program members must be age 13 and over to enter a YMCA facility alone. Each A.W.A.Y. visitor must complete a guest waiver form and present valid photo identification as well as a current membership I.D.
Financial Assistance and Open Doors
The YMCA of Philadelphia & Vicinity is a non-profit, community-based organization committed to helping grow in mind, spirit and body. The YMCA believes that its programs and services should be available to everyone, regardless of age, background, ability or income. It is in this spirit that the YMCA offers an OPEN DOORS program, an income based membership rate scale designed to fit your individual financial situation. Based on your household’s total income, you may qualify for 25% to 50% off the membership rate. Please contact the Membership desk for more information on the OPEN DOORS program.
Health Plan Membership Incentives
Some insurance companies and unions reimburse participants for partial or full program and/or membership fees. We will be happy to verify your participation. Health partners or Senior Partners: Pay $2.00 for 18 visits within 90 days. Americhoice pays $75.00 toward joining fee. Aetna Medicare health policy holders age 65 and older can now become full privilege members of the YMCA at No charge.

UFCW Membership
The United Food and Commercial Workers Union #1776 offers subsidy for membership and programs. Up to $300/individuals and $500/family memberships. Contact your union to see if you qualify.
Child Watch
In-expensive, on-site, convenient drop-in Child Watch provides a strong incentive for families to join the YMCA. Parents who work out or take a class have the option of bringing their children with them and have them cared for at the Y. Child Watch is a member benefit. Full Privilege Members may use the service for free. Program members pay a fee of $2 per hour per child. Maximum of 2 hours per visit. Parents must remain on the premises at all times.
