Every child deserves a chance to succeed. With your support, the YMCA of Philadelphia & Vicinity’s annual support drive, the Strong Kids Campaign, ensures that we are there for those who need us most.
Last year, the YMCA of Philadelphia & Vicinity distributed $1.7 Million in financial assistance so that nearly 10,000 children and families could participate in our programs regardless of an ability to pay.
For every dollar raised, the YMCA distributed nearly $2. How many other non-profit organizations in the Greater Philadelphia area can claim that? Not many.
As big as these numbers are, the need is still greater and we could do so much more for those who live in the City of Philadelphia & its suburbs – so that is why we set our 2008 Strong Kids goal at $2,000,000.
