Volunteer opportunities at the Ambler Area YMCA are available now more then ever. Some of the areas seeking volunteer assistance include:
Teen Programs - If you love teens or teens love you and you are interested in making a difference in the life of teens in the community, the Ambler Area Y is looking for you. The Adolescent Services Program at the Y is looking for adult volunteers and advisors to assist with teen programming. Before & After School Age Child Care - The Ambler Area YMCA School Age Child Care programs services 4 elementary school in Upper Dublin School District and 5 elementary schools in Wissahickon School District, and is seeking adults with a craft, skill or hobby to share with the MORE children. Youth Sports and Leagues - There are an abundance of opportunities for volunteers and physical education majors to teach a variety of youth sports for children ages 3 to 12. Classes are normally 6 to 12 students and are held at various times during the day. Instructors are provided with training, curriculum and equipment. Youth Sports Leagues are always seeking volunteer coaches, officials and league leaders. This is a rewarding opportunity to give back to the sport you love.
