West Philadelphia YMCA Wellness Programs

The YMCA Health & Wellness programs are developmentally appropriate and help people at any stage of life build positive health habits. Participation in YMCA programs offers youth and adults opportunities for friendship and community, a sense of well-being, increased self-confidence and improved mental abilities.

YMCA programs and services cut across diverse populations with diverse needs and attempt to take into account the total-health of each person. The YMCA provides a variety of health and wellness programs including exercise and water fitness classes for people and families of all ages, health and wellness seminars, educational classes, personalized training programs, non-competitive youth and adult sports leagues and social opportunities for seniors and families.

 

Personal Training

Not getting the results that you want? Try a session with a National Certified Personal Trainer. Our staff will design and motivate you through an exercise program based on your fitness goals. Sessions are 1 hour.  Available by appointment only.

  • 3 sessions        $120
  • 6 sessions        $240 + 1 free session
  • 10 sessions      $360 + 1 free session

 

 

Group Personal Training

Get fit with 2-4 of your friends or family. Sessions are 1 hour.  Available by appointment only.

  • 2/person group        $50/session

  • 3/person group        $60/session

  • 4/person group        $70/session

 

 

Sport Specialty Training

Let us train you in the sport you love! Improve strength, coordination, speed, agility and performance in your sport through specific strength and conditioning exercises that will develop functional strength to prevent injuries and improve performance. Basketball, Football, Track ad more. Ages 8-Adult. Full members: 10 sessions $360

 

Nutrition & Healthy Lifestyle Workshops (NEW)

Do you have questions on what with should you eat? How do I purchase the food that will benefit my health? Attend one of our nutrition workshops and gain the proper insight on developing a healthier lifestyle. The workshops will focus on improving your overall well being. The workshops will be facilitated by our resident Nutrition Specialist Kevin McPherson-El.
