Columbia North Area YMCA Day Camp

The Columbia North YMCA summer camp will offer a 10-week program that will ensure the best camp experience tailored to the interest of each camper. YMCA day camp is about fun field trips, cool counselors and instilling our character values. The daily activities will offer variety and excitement while building friendships and lasting memories. Swimming, computers, creative arts, science, sports, and an end of the year Luau are all part of this well-rounded program. Special themes and guest performers vary the routine and keep the campers engaged.

Camp Trailblazers (Age 12-14)

This is the perfect camp for our "tween" youth. Participants will be exposed to life skill activites such as cooking, financial planning, responsible behavior  seminars, and participate in team building exercises. Tweens will spend a portion of their day doing activities such as arts and crafts, sports and swimming.  The 'tween" group will have an opportunity to participate in two teen activities during the summer. Tweens have the option of bringing lunch, purchasing lunch o r enjoying a nutritious lunch thats provided by our program.

 

Camp Pathfinders (Age 10 - 11)

Camp Pathfinder is intended for pre-teens and is designed to give 5th and 6th graders a fun, safe place to spend their summer.  Campers in this camp participate in a wide variety of age appropriate activities. Each camp day emphasizes our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility and also may include activities such as arts& crafts, swimming lessons, science and nature. Each week has a theme that will be incorporated into the daily activities. Traveling field trip will be incorporated based on the weekly themes. All activities are skill-based and age appropriate and emphasize fun, fair play, participation, respect for others, and cooperation.


Camp Explorers (Age 8 - 9)

Campers in this camp participate in a wide variety of age appropriate activities. Each camp day emphasizes our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility and also may include activities such as arts& crafts, swimming lessons, science and nature. Each week has a theme that will be incorporated into the daily activities. Traveling field trip will be incorporated based on the weekly themes. All activities are skill-based and age appropriate and emphasize fun, fair play, participation, respect for others, and cooperation.

 

Camp Pioneers (Age 6 - 7)

Campers in this camp participate in a wide variety of age appropriate activities. Camp Small Feet (Age 4- 5)

Kinder Camp provides an enjoyable learning experience for young campers as they discover more about the world around them. Each day may include songs, games, story time, arts and crafts, snack time, nap, and time to make friends. Swimming lessons are included in the camp activities and are given 4 days per week by YMCA-certified swim instructors. Each week will have a theme that will be incorporated into the daily activities of the week. All field trips will correspond to the weekly themes and special visitors will be incorporated throughout the camp sessions.
